What password did Russell write in on my facebook?

I'm taking suggestions.  Like I said before, don't really want to get on, but I REALLY want to figure it out.  Feel free to just try logging in for me, too; I'm not too secretive or particular about that.  Well, only if I know you, not random web stalkers.  Not that I don't like you, 'cause I do, believe you me.  But it'd be weird.  Wouldn't it? Yes.  In any case, you most likely don't exist, so not too worried about offending you, 'cause you're not really there.  Sorry though if you are.

Also, watched football today, because it oddly made me feel like I was IN the GREAT REPUBLIC OF TEXAS.  Cowboys win (triple yay with knobs!) and UT won (eh, Aggies didn't win, but I'm sure there were some hacked Longhorn fans out there!).  Whilst I was watching, this commercial came on.  Thought it was fairly entertaining.  Also, for those of you that watched the UT-A&M game, did any one else think it was hilarious when they kept cutting to the corp guy and his date and commenting on whether or not she would kiss him after the touchdown?  After like the second touchdown the camera was on them for like a a minute and every time he would go in for the "mugging down" she would turn away.  They were obviously TOGETHER together, but still, entertaining.

Are you voting for Sarah Palin in 2012?

Some one asked me this earlier this week, thanks to a facebook picture of me wearing a Texas Republican t-shirt (Ahem, Anne...).  It wasn't in a bad way, but still, ack, no, not voting for Sarah Palin.  This video is just an SNL joke, but it COULD be real. I shiver at the thought!

Palin: 2012????

Well, I should be honest, the shiver is due largely to the fact that it's cold, and we're supposed to get the first snow tonight! It's not supposed to stick, but brrrrrr!  Even though the shiver is weather related, I wouldn't vote for Sarah Palin in hot weather either.  Just clarifying.  If you're confused, please refer to my note about Rush Limbaugh.

Also, Russell said that I was on Facebook too much and so he went on and changed my password.  Now I can't get on, but it's okay, I'll just blog! That'll show him! Silly man, thinking he can hold me back, my femininity will not be contained! Also, I'm totally kidding about Russell being silly, I asked him to change it for me.  I wonder what the new password is...  Also, I wonder if my friends that used to get on my account for various reasons will try to log on and then think, "She changed her password and didn't tell me??? Ugh." Probs not.

The Zambranos are at < 2 daughters this Thanksgiving. I am tres sad.  I should be in Texas :/

Well, off to do all the writing I stayed here to do!

NT Wright is awesome...and this is just here so I don't forget this quote later, but y'all can read it too

There is the irony particularly that sometimes those who seem most concerned about what they call creationism seem, with the next breath, to be least concerned with creation, in terms of ecology, and valuing the world as God's good world.

Sammy Sosa is white?!

This irritates me.  This is actually one of the reasons I don't straighten my hair anymore (I do like how it looks, but I just can't).  As if Dominican racial ideas weren't screwed up enough, Sammy Sosa's gotta go off and get white. This is diatribe A.

Soapbox B:  I know why academics don't watch TV.  It's not because they don't have enough time (well, they don't but there's more to it), it's because they learn all this theory and stuff and then, even when they just want to enjoy some mindless entertainment with say, I don't know, FRIENDS or something, they start watching it, it's funny, but in the back of their mind all they can think about it how many gendered messages the show sends out! It's crazy! It's sexist, which is an issue, but they are just so gosh darn funny!  I still watch, but graduate school has somewhat dampened the mindless-ness of FRIENDS.  Which is unfortunate, but oh well, there are other shows that don't have that effect.

Non-soapbox, straight-up blog style: This next month MAY kill me, many, many pages of reports and papers due in the next four weeks.  I've decided to pray over my work, because I'm concerned that I've made these projects about me when they are really about the people I'm writing about and somehow for the kingdom.  Don't know how that all pieces together, but I believe it does.  I've found a great community at church here, I very much look forward to Sunday mornings and (when graduate school isn't trying to sit on me) Sunday lunch.  The graduate-faculty ministry here has been a huge blessing as well.  Such a great group of believers who love God and love people.  I haven't been too involved this semester (graduate school is somewhat of a lifestyle shock), but I'm looking forward to next semester.  I won't necessarily have more time or have this whole grad school business figured out, but I'll be more prepared?

Lastly, I bought a Mid-Western winter coat last weekend.  It hasn't been cold here yet, but I'm starting to piece together my necessities for the snow fall.  Okay, enough of an update, must be off to getting dinner, grading papers and working on projects!
