Maybe I Needed to Hear it Out-loud
LOOK HOW TALL I AM!! Almost as tall as that devastatingly handsome shadow next to me. I love evening walks with my husband and the terribly cute Ms. Norris.
I think I needed to hear myself say my thoughts out loud to the interwebs to really hear them. I had said them so often in my head that I overlooked glaring issues. Like doing self-edits on something you've worked on for weeks, it was easy to believe all of the things I thought were true and good. Needless to say, my perspective on our potential move to Houstonia is shifting and for the better! I mean, why wouldn't I be excited to see and snuggle baby Ethan every dad-gum weekend??
Seriously. Next time I will capture a sneeze on video and replay it 1000 times.
Enjoy your first week of fall my dear friends!
Sleeping with the windows open,
Mals
Patron Saints
Whew... I am BEHIND on this blog bidness.
Well, Russell and I went to Houston almost two weekends ago to visit our old Spades buddies Blake, David and their dog-child, Emma. Much to our sweet surprise, they were also in possession of their foster-pup, Puppykins. Her other name is Lizzy... they are taking my children's names slowly but surely.

Mr. Lawry and I don't want a dog, but we want her. And, we'll rename her.
THEN...
We honored the patron saints o' brewskis at St. Arnolds. We selected our favorite fermenterrrrrrr.
I would have drank to St. Michael Jackson, but I had already drank all my summer ale...
Love these two.
Packing for the river,
Ms. Hyphenated
PS - I'm trying out some new stuff in Photoshop... bear with me... :\
Is it raining?
We were leaving Lawry's apartment late Friday night with our German friend Veronica and she turned as asked us, "is it raining?" Oh no... it's just SO HUMID that if feels like its raining outside. Oh well, South Texas day trip!!
In Lawry's (and my mom's) opinion, the funniest street name in Texas ;)
Meggo, Blake and myself at La King Ice Cream Shoppe on the Strand in Galveston. Really good ice cream and really quaint little store... Anyway, I heart these women, I wish I lived closer to them.
Galveston Island pictures... Lawry, the gals, and Veronica and I. We had a great time down there... we have no pretensions about our northern beaches; they're just where the land meets the sea. It was fab :)
Until next time,
MJ
