Your Typical M.O.B.

 Well, hey there Fall...

Fall started... kind of a while ago and kind of early, but the roomie and I went on a hike at a nearby Maple, Oak, and Beech (the MOB, I learn something new everyday, whew!) forest.  I'm glad to get out before it's all gone and winter starts threatening more intensely.  Well, bloggies, I'm sorry for my absence, what have y'all been up to this wonderful month?  I have been:
reading, writing, teaching,
attending a few operas,
taking short day trips to Nashville, IN and Columbus, IN for shopping,
really, really frustrated with my etudiantes,
really pleased with a few of them,
baking and cooking lots of fall recipes(!),
missing Lawry, family, friends,
running regularly really early in the morning, so it's flippin' freezin'
AND...
trying to loosen coffee's vice grip on me!
I never thought I'd see the day, but for serious folks, I'm on day quatro sans café (and only two cups of tea)! I feel like my body is detoxing, which is kinda cool in a super hipster sort of way, but, and I'm not trying to be dramatic, I'd rather get hit in the stomach with a fastball from Cliff Lee (RANGERS! WORLD SERIES!).  Speaking of Rangers, when I was young my dad used to take my sister and me to baseball games and we would get ice cream in the helmet cups, it is one of my favorite memories.  Then, I found out that the Rangers weren't that good and hardly ever won stuff.  I was devastated, kind of like the devastation one experiences shortly after buying ice cream and the topmost scoop topples off the cone.  But, now, I'm so excited they are playing in the World Series... vair vair cool.

Counting down the days to Lawry's arrival (you should too because that means I'll blog again shortly after his trip),
MJ

Go Rangers! And go 'Merican Airlines for flying me to Indiana!

And go you for your battle with café, hiking, fall cooking and blogging!

I, your other Mother whom you have forgotten about and not seen in quite some time, have missed your blog - and love these fall pictures. It makes me sorely miss KY in the fall - ahhh, trees! Enjoy them for me.
